F6 Now I’m a Trustee, What’s Next?

Description: Over the course of the next 20 years, trillions of dollars of assets are expected to transfer from one generation to the next. As this unfolds, many children and grandchildren will be asked to serve as trustee of their family’s trust. Have you been named trustee or have you selected a trustee to carry out your wishes? Being a trustee for an estate is a big responsibility - not only is the trustee responsible for seeing that a loved one’s wishes are carried out, they may also be responsible for other people’s finances in the short term. Being named trustee doesn’t mean that you are automatically prepared for what it might take to carry out those responsibilities. Through real-life scenarios, we will help trustees become more aware of their responsibilities and be active participants in the decisions impacting their families.
