Guided Meditation

Meditation is both a skill and an experience - a formal approach to training the mind, similar to the way fitness is an approach to training the body. Many studies have been conducted to look at how meditation may be helpful for a variety of conditions, such as high blood pressure, symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and ulcerative colitis, anxiety and depression, insomnia, and pain. Meditation is not necessarily spiritual or religious. It shares a very long history with religion and offers an important spiritual component for many practitioners. But anyone can meditate, regardless of creed, and a guided meditation is a great place to start.
