Arthritis is the swelling and tenderness of one or more joints. The main symptoms of arthritis are joint pain and stiffness, which typically worsen with age, but arthritis is a common condition that affects many people of all ages. In fact, it's believed that approximately 350 million people worldwide have some form of arthritis with 21% of U.S. adults, or over 53 million Americans, suffering from arthritis symptoms. While there is no miracle diet for arthritis, many foods can help fight inflammation and improve joint pain and other symptoms. If you have arthritis, making the right dietary choices can not only help manage your symptoms but also reduce the risk of complications, help boost your overall well-being, and improve your quality of life.
