Description: Back in 2009 Spring Run Golf Club golf course achieved designation as a “Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary” through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses, an Audubon International program. Gregg Meier, Course Superintendent, has led the effort to obtain sanctuary status on this course and has been recognized for Environmental Stewardship by Audubon International. Spring Run is the 97th course in Florida and the 789th in the world to receive the honor. Join Gregg for a crash course on how Spring Run maintains this honor. Guest speaker, Brian Beckner, will also educate participants about the many different kinds of indigenous birds in their natural environment.
