H2: "Alzheimer’s - Prevention, Early Signs, Basics, and Living with it"

Description: Alzheimer’s is a type of dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior. Symptoms usually develop slowly and get worse over time, becoming severe enough to interfere with daily tasks. Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia accounting for 60 to 80 percent of dementia cases. Although the greatest known risk factor is increasing age, alzheimer’s is not a normal part of aging. There is currently no cure, but treatments for symptoms are available and research continues. What are some of the early signs and symptoms of Alzheimer’s? Are there ways to prevent or slow its onset? What options are available for treatment? Ninety percent of what we know about Alzheimer’s has been discovered in the last 20 years. Some of the most remarkable progress has shed light on how Alzheimer’s affects the brain. The hope is that this better understanding will lead to new and potentially better treatments.
