 M2-6: "Canasta Clinic - Beginners"

February 23, 2018   |  9:30-11:30 am

Description: Invented in Montevideo, Uruguay, Canasta is one of the most popular card games in the United States. It combines luck of the draw, skill and diverse strategies. Typically played with four people, this challenging game is a great social activity. Canasta has come a long way since being the most popular American game in the early 1950s. The game you played with your grandparents has drastically changed. If you’re not familiar with all the changes, or new to the game in general, this clinic is for you. Learn how to play the new American Canasta game as played in Spring Run. This eight-week progressive clinic will include instruction about the rules and cover strategies needed to play the game. Participants will be given the opportunity for engaged playing time with other participants. Each week’s instruction will build on the previous week’s information. Men and women welcome.
Designed for: Newcomers and novices
Facilitator: Bobbie Allen
