The Purple Spoon - Year-Round, Indoor Farmer’s Market and Culinary Hub

Consumers today shop with a conscience. Now more than ever, they are scrutinizing where and how their food is being grown. The farm to table movement has been a big driver of this change. Increasingly, consumers desire fresh, tasty, responsibly sourced food. As the farm to table movement becomes more mainstream, small businesses like the Purple Spoon are eager to fill their niche in this burgeoning market.

The Purple Spoon is a “Culinary Hub” of sorts offering a locally grown Farmer’s Market and dining venue. Their Farmer’s Market features a variety of goods from coffee, wine and honey to fresh produce, meats, seafood, eggs and microgreens all grown within a 50 mile radius of your kitchen. The Purple Spoon also offers cooking classes and weekly chef’s dinners, along with the retail of prepared foods made from these stellar local ingredients.

Join The Purple Spoon’s Chef Kristina San Filippo on Wednesday, June 13th from 3:30-4:30 pm as she explains the concept of the Purple Spoon and what inspires their business model. Also meet the local farmers and growers who are happy to explain how they source and grow their products. Participants are required to provide their own transportation to the Purple Spoon located at 25151 Chamber of Commerce Dr in the Prado Shopping Center. Sign up through the Spring Run website or by contacting the Activities Office at [email protected]. This activity is offsite and will not be affected by the club’s regular Wednesday closure.

We hope to see you there!

Sincerely,
