Throughout the past
several years, Lee Health has weathered exceptional circumstances and treated
nearly 30,000 patients with COVID-19. At the same time, they have also
continued to invest significant effort toward expanding access to care in
Southwest Florida. In the years to come, Lee Health's strategic vision features
a variety of lifesaving programs and facility enhancements throughout the
region. To provide state-of-the-art care closer to home for residents and
visitors in south Lee County and Collier County, Lee Health plans to renovate
space at the current Lee Health Bonita Health Center to support a new cancer
center. The goal is to build this cancer program into one of the nation's
finest, competing with any regional or national provider for the best outcomes
right here, close to home. Other local expansion initiatives include a primary
