On a trip to Alaska at 8 years old with his beloved mother, the seeds of Doug's passion for adventure first took root. Ever since then he knew what he wanted to do when he was all grown up. Now he is the world's leading polar explorer having led many international scientific expeditions to both poles. He's also skied to both the North and South Poles more than anyone on the planet. As an environmentalist, humanitarian, father and husband (among many other roles), Doug continues to push the limits of human endurance while raising funds for charities, collecting scientific data for climate scientists, and leading disabled adventurers to the polar environments.
Purpose: Learn about Doug's expeditions to the North and South Poles as well as his ski-touring expeditions around the globe
Facilitator: Douglas Stoup
